Does Infosys Pay During Mysore Training? What Offer Letters, Employees and 2026 Guides Report
Short answer: yes, Infosys trainees are paid during training, but the amount is not published and the figures people report do not match. Most sources we found describe a stipend lower than CTC ÷ 12 for Systems Engineers. The training clause in your own offer letter is the only number that applies to you.
What the sources we found report
| Source | What it reports | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Older news article | Flat stipend of about ₹13,000 a month | Role not specified |
| Employee review (2018) | About ₹13,500 in hand, 4-month Mysore training | Systems Engineer trainee |
| Systems Engineer offer letter (2018–19 batch) | ₹25,000 gross per month during training | Gross, not in-hand |
| 2026 third-party guide | About ₹15,000 in the first phase, about ₹21,000 in the stream phase; SE training about 22 weeks | Not an Infosys source |
| Same 2026 guide | DSE and SP joiners: shorter programme (8–12 weeks), near-full pay from week one | Not an Infosys source |
These are not like-for-like: some are gross, some in-hand, from different years. We could not find an official Infosys figure.
What the clause looks like in an offer letter
In the Systems Engineer offer letters we found, the compensation section states one gross salary for the training period and a different gross salary after it. The offer is also stated to be subject to signing a service agreement that covers the terms of employment and the training. Wording and amounts change by batch, so rely on your own letter.
Why the numbers differ
- Batch year: pay and programme structure change over time.
- Role: Systems Engineer and DSE/SP joiners are reported to be treated differently.
- Training phase: one 2026 guide reports a higher stipend in the stream phase than in the first phase.
- Gross vs in-hand: an offer letter shows gross; employee reviews usually quote what reached their account.
- Deductions: older forum posts mention deductions for accommodation and food. Check whether your joining email mentions any.
How to find your own number
- Open your offer letter and find the compensation section. Look for a line on salary during training.
- Check the CTC annexure for the split between fixed and variable pay.
- Read your Infosys joining email and candidate portal messages.
- If the training line is unclear, ask HR in writing and keep the reply.
- Your first payslip shows exactly what was paid and what was deducted.
Read the service agreement before you sign
Training agreements in the offer documents we found refer to the company's spending on selecting and training you. One 2026 guide has a section on a bond clause. We could not confirm current terms, so read every clause on notice period, repayment and minimum service before you sign, and ask HR to explain anything unclear in writing.
How long is Infosys training?
