Job Description

Amazon India (ASSPL) is seeking a highly analytical, motivation-driven Area Manager, FCD to lead logistics operations inside our premier Fulfillment Center in Bengaluru, Karnataka . Operating on the frontlines of our distribution infrastructure, this site management tier centers on supervising frontline associate teams, executing high-velocity labor configurations, and continuously driving localized safety and productivity targets .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

  • Departmental Performance Metrics: Own absolute daily accountability across the four primary pillars of warehouse operations: floor safety, production quality, customer fulfillment experience, and throughput productivity .
  • Forecast & Shift Engineering: Analyze daily system workload forecasts to calculate, map, and enforce specific department productivity requirements needed to hit building-wide logistics milestones .
  • Cross-Department Labor Balancing: Interlock with adjacent Area Managers across the shift to reallocate, rightsize, and balance warehouse associate headcounts to maximize operational efficiency .
  • Safety & Compliance Enforcement: Maintain full compliance with statutory safety regulations and internal guidelines, actively championing programs to secure a risk-free workspace .
  • Lean Process Refinement: Intercept operational bottlenecks on the floor, proactively initiating continuous improvement projects and leveraging structured Lean tools to erase throughput leaks .
  • Supervisory Team Direction: Manage, train, and guide a high-volume team of warehouse associates, addressing training gaps and personnel requirements to foster an unyielding, innovative culture .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

  • Educational Foundation: Holds a valid Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical credential across any administrative or quantitative business discipline .
  • Personnel Performance Tracking: Documented corporate history demonstrating direct management experience over employee output, shift tracking parameters, and team reviews .
  • Preferred Value-Adds: 3 or more years of practical operational background specializing in performance metrics analysis, process transformation layouts, or structured lean manufacturing techniques .
  • Core Soft Skills: Outstanding verbal and written business storytelling properties, rapid analytical troubleshooting capabilities, high adaptability to move at internet speed, and a natural customer obsession .
