Job Description

Amazon India (ASSPL) is seeking an analytical, process-driven Asst. Planning and Ops Manager, SIMS to join the Buying, Planning, & Instock Management division in Bengaluru, Karnataka . Operating within a dynamic marketplace setup, this role owns the end-to-end supply planning cycle and operational performance of external marketplace sellers and vendors .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

  • Sellers Operational Performance: Monitor and govern the day-to-day operational execution of sellers and vendors to ensure strict alignment with organizational delivery targets .
  • Supply Planning Coordination: Partner with marketplace merchants to engineer optimal inbound inventory schedules, preventing selection drops while optimizing warehouse labor capacities .
  • Waste & Lead Time Mitigation: Deep dive into logistics flows to execute waste control, lead time compression, and operational cost-saving initiatives across end-to-end supply chains .
  • Multi-Database Data Mining: Query, parse, and aggregate complex logistical datasets from structural systems using SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Access .
  • Business Case Architecture: Author and review comprehensive metrics-based business cases, translating research insights into execution strategies .
  • Cross-Functional Program Governance: Interlock with category leads, forecasting managers, technology groups, and fulfillment center operations to manage strategic program rollouts .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

  • Sales & Operations Track: Minimum of 2 years of professional, non-internship experience inside corporate sales, account management, or quantitative logistics workflows .
  • Performance Driver Diagnostics: Proven professional background analyzing data matrices and supply chain trends to flag operational performance drivers .
  • Data Management Toolkit: Direct technical proficiency utilizing database management engines to build dashboards and trace complex metric tradeoffs .
