Automation Engineer

Infosys Limited is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Automation Engineer to join our elite Cloud & Infrastructure Services division in Hyderabad. This role focuses on modern network programming, software-defined infrastructures, and the deployment of orchestration scripts to automate complex cloud and telecom ecosystem components.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Network Automation & Orchestration: Architecture, configure, and maintain automated infrastructure blueprints leveraging SDN-NFV (Software-Defined Networking / Network Functions Virtualization) frameworks and Ansible configuration playbooks.
• Full-Stack Configuration Scripting: Author and optimize high-performance automation utilities, environment baseline tools, and data parsing scripts using Python and Shell Scripting.
• Client Interfacing & Consulting: Act as a key technical contact point for global enterprise clients, handling complex solution delivery mapping, root-cause incident debugging, and ensuring high customer satisfaction metrics.
• Design Review & Architecture Validation: Formulate structural designs and validate infrastructure code metrics by applying rigorous SOLID design principles and distributed data modeling methods.
• Project Sizing & Risk Planning: Participate in project estimation matrix definition, provide technical inputs for solution delivery roadmaps, and organize comprehensive risk mitigation plans throughout development and maintenance lifecycles.
• Quality Assurance & Code Governance: Enforce strict software quality assurance guidelines, organize exhaustive peer code reviews, evaluate unit test plans, and deploy systemic troubleshooting routines to eradicate configuration drift.

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

• Professional Experience: 5 to 8 years of robust IT infrastructure tracking history, explicitly focused on network engineering, automated provisioning, or multi-tenant system administration.
• Core Technical Toolkit: Advanced technical command over Network Automation Tools (Ansible), open systems scripting (Python/Bash), and distributed network monitoring parameters.
• Methodologies & Processes: Total fluency inside modern Agile/Scrum delivery mechanics, project lifecycle activities, resource estimation scales, and corporate quality assurance standards.
• Core Soft Skills: Masterful analytical reasoning, advanced logical thinking parameters under pressure, top-tier technical writing, and outstanding team coordination properties.
