Automation Expert, Retail Business Services [10462168]

Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is seeking a highly technical, problem-solving Automation Expert to join our Retail Business Services (RBS) team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu . This role centers on optimizing the worldwide e-commerce catalog lifecycle by building intelligent workflows, serverless data architectures, and deploying advanced automated systems .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Automation & Scripting: Architect, implement, and maintain process optimization workflows using Python, Selenium, and VBA Macros .
• Data & ETL Engineering: Design high-utility database layers and orchestrate structural data transformations using SQL and complex ETL processes .
• AWS & DevOps Infrastructure: Build scalable infrastructure using AWS (SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, DynamoDB) and manage CI/CD pipelines with AWS CDK .
• AI Orchestration Integration: Investigate, experiment with, and embed autonomous agent frameworks and multi-step tool-using paradigms to drive next-generation workflow orchestration .
• Ops Improvement: Collaborate with global teams to optimize backend workflows, improve platform performance metrics, and drive systemic operational cost savings .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

• Experience: 2+ years in technical, analytical, tax, or systems optimization operational roles .
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field .
• Skills & Mindset: Proven experience with serverless architecture deployment, strong metrics execution, and excellent oral/written communication skills .
