Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is seeking an analytical, process-oriented Business Analyst I, Automation, Reporting and Tech sciences (ARTS) to join the Retail Business Services team at the BLR 14 SEZ hub in Bengaluru, Karnataka . Operating within the Employee Services organization, this position focuses on unlocking global insights, creating repeatable metrics frameworks, and designing data systems to scale global work authorization programs .
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Dashboard Development: Design, configure, and maintain scaled, highly available dashboards using SQL, Excel, Tableau, and Amazon QuickSight .
- Data Mining & Ingestion: Retrieve, aggregate, and parse metrics from multiple disparate data sources into digestible, actionable data summaries .
- Stakeholder Business Consulting: Partner directly alongside operations and business leaders to define, construct, and automate key performance indicators (KPIs) .
- Trend & Anomaly Diagnostics: Deep dive into processed data pools to draw inferences, spot process anomalies, and map operational data trends .
- Requirements Review Presentation: Author clear technical requirement documents and deliver progress reports to senior management regarding expansion roadmaps .
- Cross-Functional Interlock: Act as the analytics anchor coordinating across core business teams, partner teams, and software development engineers .
- Global Expansion Delivery: Support the integration of new global markets and corporate business acquisitions into standard compliance tracking loops .
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Spreadsheet & Data Manipulation: Minimum of 2 years of proven professional history utilizing Microsoft Excel or Tableau to build charts, macros, and pivots .
- Domain Analytical History: 1 or more years of non-internship professional experience within tax, corporate finance, or a related quantitative analytical track .
- Technical Infrastructure Toolkit: Demonstrated practical grounding compiling relational queries over SQL or ETL developer pipelines .
- Visualization System Literacy: Strong functional familiarity using BI presentation packages like AWS QuickSight, Tableau, or Microsoft Power BI .
- Preferred Value-Adds: Hands-on experience query optimization within Amazon Redshift, data warehousing layout concepts, SCALA, or PySpark frameworks .
- Core Soft Skills: Outstanding technical business writing habits, robust logical reasoning, exceptional stakeholder trust-building, and an ability to navigate ambiguous datasets .
