Job Description

Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is seeking a technical and highly organized Business Analyst to join the RBS ARTS (Automation Reporting and Tech Sciences) squad across engineering centers in Bengaluru and Chennai. This role acts as a primary business intelligence engineer, owning the execution, compilation, and automated delivery of complex dashboards, data pipelines, and operational telemetry used by upper leadership to steer Selling Partner experience policies.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

  • Full-Lifecycle BI Reporting: Shape, instrument, and maintain high-utility operational metrics, automated reports, and key performance indicators to assess business performance boundaries.
  • Data Mining & SQL Querying: Dive deep into massive relational datasets across Oracle and Amazon Redshift infrastructures, executing optimized script syntax to isolate trends and answer precise business queries.
  • Advanced VBA Workflow Automation: Architect and debug advanced Excel VBA macros and custom procedures to automate routine data processing and reduce team manual effort.
  • Actionable Insight Architecture: Convert raw structured data arrays into digestible business intelligence views and cross-functional dashboards using Amazon QuickSight or Tableau.
  • Continuous Process Optimization: Partner directly with business operations teams to extract functional reporting requirements and leverage metrics analysis to uncover systemic process improvement opportunities.
  • Report Scheduling Governance: Configure internal scheduling infrastructure and data pipeline tools to secure low-latency report distribution timelines.

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

  • Professional Experience Track: At least 1 year of progressive analytical experience operating within financial, tax, or data ops environments, backed by a minimum of 2 years writing complex Excel VBA logic frameworks.
  • Core Technical Toolkit: Practical engineering command over structural database queries, ETL data transformation concepts, and deep-dive spreadsheet modeling.
  • Preferred Capabilities: Documented track record parsing and manipulating very large datasets alongside advanced multi-layered Tableau view integration.
  • Core Soft Skills: Outstanding verbal and written business communication attributes, high learning agility to adapt to fast-paced settings, meticulous attention to structural details, and natural comfort navigating ambiguity.
