Business Intelligence Engineer – Flex Analytics

Amazon is hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) for the Flex Analytics team in Hyderabad. The role focuses on building business intelligence solutions, analyzing large datasets, developing automated dashboards and reports, and generating actionable insights to support data-driven business decisions.

The Flex Analytics team works with business and product teams to provide reliable data, core metrics, self-service analytics tools, and insights that help teams understand business performance and make better decisions. In this role, you will work with large datasets and help develop scalable analytics solutions for forecasting, pricing, and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and automated business intelligence systems, reports, and dashboards.
• Build user-friendly analytical solutions to support forecasting and pricing decisions.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for business growth.
• Use analytical and statistical methods to solve complex business problems and support strategic decisions.
• Write high-quality SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from Amazon Redshift, databases, and data lakes.
• Develop dashboards, visualizations, and reports for business and analytical requirements.
• Support ad-hoc data analysis requests and ongoing reporting projects.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Contribute to the development and management of analytical tools and reporting infrastructure.
• Provide business analysis and data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
• Support the development of AI-enabled and proactive decision intelligence solutions.

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data using platforms such as Amazon Redshift, Oracle, or NoSQL databases.
• Strong SQL skills for data retrieval and analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of statistical methods such as t-tests and Chi-squared tests.
• Experience with a scripting language such as Python, Java, or R.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of business intelligence and data-driven decision-making.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Master's degree or advanced technical degree.
• Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design.
• Experience with statistical and correlation analysis.
• Experience developing reporting and analytical infrastructure.
• Understanding of forecasting and pricing analytics.
