Job Description

Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is seeking a highly talented, analytical Business Intelligence Engineer II, IES CFX & Prime to join our India and Emerging Markets optimization team in Bengaluru, Karnataka . Operating within the intersection of ultrafast customer delivery and strategic customer loyalty programs, this role centers on uncovering core performance trends, building resilient database schemas, and delivering actionable insights to product, tech, and category teams to eliminate operational defects and drive automated product interventions globally .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

  • Data-Driven Strategic Influence: Extract and transform complex operational data to guide and justify high-stakes technical, product, and cross-functional business decisions .
  • Data Infrastructure Engineering: Design, configure, and maintain robust data architectures, multi-dimensional models, and storage environments tailored to analytics requirements .
  • ETL Pipeline Automation: Build and optimize stable, low-latency ETL/ELT pipelines to aggregate data cleanly from massive, disparate data stores .
  • Advanced Querying & Scripting: Compose high-performance, complex SQL queries to mine relational databases, leveraging Python scripting to format data for modeling layers .
  • Statistical Anomaly Diagnostics: Utilize statistical analysis engines such as R, SAS, or Matlab to evaluate core operational metrics and preemptively escalate network anomalies .
  • BI Dashboard Visualization: Engineer automated, interactive reports and self-service analytics frameworks utilizing visualization suites like Tableau or AWS QuickSight .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

  • Data Domain Experience: Minimum of 5 years of verified, non-internship professional history querying, analyzing, and extracting business value from massive datasets .
  • Cloud Warehouse Literacy: Hands-on experience optimizing and parsing data within Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, or related large-scale distributed architectures .
  • Visualization Software Mastery: Documented track record implementing data visualization software tools to map key indicators and build executive reporting dashboards .
  • Preferred Value-Adds: Master's degree in a quantitative domain, advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VBA/macros), or familiarity deploying AWS infrastructure solutions (EC2, DynamoDB, S3, Redshift) .
  • Core Soft Skills: High attention to detail, exceptional verbal and written communication properties, ability to navigate ambiguity under competing deadlines, and a strong bias for action .
