Job Description

Amazon is hiring for a Case Manager – Disability & Leave Services (DLS) role in Bangalore. This is a contractual individual contributor position supporting employees through leave of absence, disability, accommodation, and return-to-work processes.

The DLS Case Manager serves as a single point of contact for assigned employees throughout their leave or disability event. The role involves understanding employee situations, applying appropriate benefits and policies, responding to changing circumstances, and providing a connected case management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding leave, disability events, benefits, and available options.
  • Provide end-to-end case management support to assigned employees.
  • Review documentation and manage leave cases in accordance with applicable plans, regulations, and company policies.
  • Assess changing employee needs and adjust case management plans accordingly.
  • Handle sensitive employee situations professionally and confidentially.
  • Troubleshoot issues and identify solutions to remove barriers during leave events.
  • Coordinate communication between employees and relevant stakeholders throughout the leave process.
  • Facilitate smooth return-to-work and ramp-back plans for employees.
  • Educate managers and business partners regarding employee concerns and return-to-work requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records and documentation in relevant systems.
  • Partner with HR, Safety, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, third-party administrators, and other internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with standard processes, applicable regulations, and company policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or above.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Knowledge or experience with Six Sigma and process improvement initiatives.
