Device Specialist, Relay TAQ

Amazon is hiring for a Device Specialist, Relay TAQ in Chennai. This role focuses on manual testing and quality assurance for Amazon Relay products and technology. The position involves black-box testing, regression testing, defect identification, quality audits, troubleshooting, and providing floor support to team members.

As a Device Specialist, you will work at the user level to test Amazon Relay products, audit work completed by Device Associates, review regression scopes, identify discrepancies, and ensure appropriate test coverage before product releases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual and black-box testing for Amazon Relay products and technology.
• Audit testing work completed by Device Associates and identify discrepancies.
• Review regression scope shared by QA teams and ensure appropriate regression tests are covered.
• Act as the primary point of contact for bugs identified through Device Associate activities.
• Maintain a strong understanding of product features and new functionality being introduced for regression testing.
• Perform impact analysis of legacy features and ensure test cases remain clear and unambiguous.
• Represent issues during LR and triage calls by providing complete context and relevant details.
• Handle escalations, support root cause analysis, and provide relevant data to managers.
• Provide floor support and help team members resolve testing-related issues.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement appropriate action plans.
• Create and maintain documentation where predefined work instructions or testing artifacts are unavailable.
• Collaborate effectively with remote teams and stakeholders across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in Quality Assurance or software testing.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies.
• Ability to understand technical specifications.
• Relevant experience in manual testing and quality assurance.
• BE, BTech, MCA, MSc IT, or a graduate degree in a quantitative field with relevant IT/QA experience.

• Hands-on experience with automation testing.
• Regression testing and test case management.
• Defect identification and bug reporting.
• Root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
