Job Description
Infosys Limited is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Guidewire Consultant to join our elite Application Development and Maintenance service line in Pune. This position focuses on architecting, configuring, and integrating core insurance application platforms, enabling global Property & Casualty (P&C) providers to modernize legacy processes, execute secure cloud platform upgrades, and automate complex policy lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Core Guidewire Platform Engineering: Design, develop, configure, and maintain business-critical system logic across the **Guidewire Suite**, including **PolicyCenter (PC), BillingCenter (BC), and ClaimCenter (CC)** components.
- Advanced Workflow Scripting: Author and optimize complex business rules, processing conditions, custom data models, data tracking metrics, and backend system workflows using the native GOSU scripting language.
- Enterprise Systems Integration: Program, test, and deploy robust system connectors linking Guidewire architectures with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) middleware, legacy databases, and external third-party vendor platforms.
- Multi-Vendor Interface Engineering: Configure high-availability integration layers utilizing common enterprise mechanisms, encompassing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), web services (SOAP), and messaging systems (JMS, MQ, SVN).
- Cloud Upgrades & Version Control: Manage complex Guidewire version upgrades, migrating data parameters safely into cloud-native architectures while using **Git and Jenkins** for continuous code deployment tracking.
- Application Lifecycle Governance: Deliver rigorous software quality checks, write comprehensive **Technical Design Documentation**, create automated **GUnits unit test conditions**, and undertake granular peer code reviews.
- Incident Management & Support: Lead Level 2 and Level 3 production support operations, handling request routing, root-cause diagnostics, and problem management tasks to fix third-party configuration drift.
- Project Sizing & Team Mentorship: Assist project management teams by defining work scope estimations, evaluating project pricing models, organizing sprint plans inside **Agile/Scrum ceremonies**, and mentoring junior development squads.
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Professional Experience Track: 3 to 15 years of robust IT engineering track record, highlighting a minimum of 3 to 5 years spent explicitly configuring or integrating components inside Guidewire modules.
- Core Technical Toolkit: Advanced technical command over full-stack Java/J2EE structures, relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server), advanced SQL query writing, and Jira/Rally workflow tools.
- Preferred Credentials: Practical business knowledge of the **Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain** is required. Holding official, active **Guidewire Certifications** is highly preferred.
- Core Soft Skills: Outstanding client-interfacing communication, strong logical thinking capabilities, executive storytelling attributes, and a natural capacity to lead cross-functional development squads under strict deadlines.
