Job Description

Amazon India (ASSPL) is seeking a highly skilled and analytical IT Support Associate to join our Operations, IT, & Support Engineering squad across major fulfillment center hubs, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Delhi, Gurugram, and Thane. This position serves as the first level of mission-critical technical support, managing cross-discipline computing environments and resolving system infrastructure failures on the floor.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

  • First-Line Operations Support: Troubleshoot integrated and interdependent corporate hardware and software environments, acting as a technical resolution partner for local fulfillment center systems.
  • Hardware Fleet Maintenance: Manage, repair, and deploy critical facility technology arrays, including Zebra thermal printers, thin clients, warehouse scanners, PCs, and portable handheld terminals (HHTs).
  • Systems & Telecommunications Administration: Perform day-to-day configuration updates across multi-platform networks, maintaining local Telecom/PBX communication servers and user directory assignments.
  • Network Engineering & Low-Voltage Cabling: Trace, diagnose, and repair network infrastructure issues; lead local data cabling runs and switch patch routing to secure low-latency floor connectivity.
  • Root Cause Analysis & Project Management: Run detailed technical investigations into recurring equipment faults, write precise root-cause analysis (RCA) logs, and guide onsite IT migration projects under narrow timelines.
  • Technical Peer Mentorship: Assist in managing daily department allocations, mentoring Technical Support Technicians, and acting as a trusted interface for internal operational customers.

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

  • Professional Experience: 1 or more years of progressive IT infrastructure support experience inside a corporate helpdesk or industrial fulfillment setting.
  • Core Technical Toolkit: Practical engineering command over Windows, Mac, or Linux (Redhat) operating systems, networking fundamentals, and enterprise peripheral mapping.
  • Preferred Credentials: Holding active IT domain certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or specialized Microsoft hardware setup accreditations is highly desirable.
  • Core Soft Skills: Outstanding technical problem-solving capabilities, clear written and verbal business communication skills, and full agility to support fast-paced operations within a collaborative environment.
