Mechanical Engineering / Rebuild Operations Specialist

Infosys Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering specialist to join its engineering operations team based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The core focus of this technical role centers on overseeing the extensive rebuild operations, performance tracking, and direct lifecycle management of mechanical components and assemblies within the organization's delivery portfolio.

Core day-to-day administrative and operational responsibilities encompass managing multiple technical component rebuild projects simultaneously while maintaining strict safety benchmarks and quality assurance targets. The selected engineer will monitor mechanical component applications, troubleshoot structural operational shortfalls, and evaluate physical performance metrics to optimize asset lifespan. Prior hands-on experience or analytical familiarity dealing directly with industrial heavy machinery setups will serve as a highly preferred asset for this post.

Additionally, the position requires generating detailed technical progress reports, designing operational strategy presentations using tools like Keynote or PowerPoint, and leading status meetings with cross-functional project leads. Candidates must present 1 to 3 years of engineering background, a completed Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree, strong analytical decision-making capabilities, and excellent verbal or written communication proficiencies to drive tasks effectively within a high-performance workspace.
