Infosys Limited is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Microsoft Fabric Developer to join our elite Data & Analytics Unit in Bangalore. This comprehensive data engineering role focuses on architecting modern lakehouse environments, managing Azure cloud infrastructures, and driving end-to-end data transformation using the unified Microsoft Fabric software suite.
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Microsoft Fabric Development: Design, engineer, and deploy data solutions across the complete Fabric ecosystem, integrating core components like OneLake, Data Factory, Lakehouses, Warehouses, and Power BI.
- Data Pipeline & Integration: Build and orchestrate scalable data ingestion pipelines from diverse on-premises, cloud, and API sources; design robust ETL/ELT workflows utilizing Fabric Data Factory engines and automated trigger systems.
- Data Engineering & Distributed Computing: Process and transform massive structured and unstructured datasets using Spark (PySpark/Scala) notebooks within the Fabric environment to enforce fast computation boundaries.
- Azure Subscription & Governance: Deploy and administer cloud resources inside the Azure subscription, maintaining rigorous Identity & Access Management (IAM), data security compliance, and strategic resource cost optimization.
- Analytics & Semantic Modeling: Build structured semantic layers and data matrices to establish self-service business intelligence capabilities, ensuring clean integration with Power BI reporting frontends.
- Performance Optimization: Design data modeling and partitioning strategies to accelerate data processing and query runtimes while scaling lakehouse performance.
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Professional Experience: 3 to 5 years of solid data engineering expertise with a focused track record across Microsoft Fabric or equivalent Azure Data Services (such as Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory).
- Core Technical Toolkit: Advanced proficiency in advanced SQL script writing, Python / PySpark programming, and cloud pipeline configuration.
- Preferred Platforms: Practical knowledge of Azure DevOps deployment cycles and Data Lake layouts (ADLS Gen2) is highly advantageous.
- Core Soft Skills: Strong cross-functional collaboration capabilities, powerful analytical troubleshooting, and clear technical communication to interface with business analysts and technology teams.
