Network Engineer I, Just Walk Out Tech [Network Support Engineer]

Amazon Dev Center India is seeking an enterprising, highly technical Network Engineer I, Just Walk Out Tech to join our AWS Applied AI Solutions organization in Hyderabad, Telangana . Operating inside our automated retail engineering layer, this hardware operations role centers on monitoring active store network infrastructures, triaging automated alerts, and deploying device configurations to ensure a frictionless checkout experience globally .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Alarms Triage & Incident Resolution: Continuous monitoring of multi-tier network alerts across active retail stores, including BGP, heartbeat logs, LTE failovers, WAN bottlenecks, and switch errors .
• Runbook Incident Execution: Troubleshoot network exceptions utilizing rigid operations manuals, executing device power-cycling over PDU/SNMP protocols, and initiating remote LTE modem reboots .
• New Store Infrastructure Bring-Up: Provison, test, and assign hardware profiles for infrastructure devices—encompassing network switches, edge routers, wireless Access Points (APs), and LTE backup gateways .
• Deployment Configuration Engineering: Set up and validate granular VLAN assignments, static or dynamic IP addressing layouts, and core routing logic rules for fresh store footprints .
• Multi-Vendor Carrier Management: Manage technical ticketing loops alongside ISPs for WAN circuit repair and dispatch tickets to LTE carriers to solve signal degradation or SIM replacement barriers .
• Hardware Lifecycle Coordination: Direct field service operations and EFS dispatch tracks to handle physical hardware replacements for faulty routers, switches, and backup UPS batteries .
• Decommission & Retrofit Support: Interface with engineering teams to coordinate network reconfiguration mappings during structural store retrofits or active system decommissions .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

• Infrastructure Engineering Tenure: Minimum of 4 years of robust, non-internship professional history handling network engineering deployments, hardware integration racking, and corporate cabling matrices .
• Network Administration Competency: 4 or more years of proven background managing physical layer technologies, network administration routines, and core data transmission parameters .
• Educational Foundation: Holds a valid Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent practical technical engineering discipline .
• Core Protocols Toolkit: Complete operational mastery of essential networking protocols, including TCP/IP data flows, UDP parameters, SSL certificates, DNS routing, and HTTP/S handshakes .
• Ecosystem Shift Agility: Full willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call operational rotation, including rotational morning, afternoon, and night shift patterns .
