Quality Assurance Engineer | Cross Border

Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer | Cross Border to join our Amazon Exports and Expansion (AEE) technology team in Chennai. This role owns the end-to-end testing processes that power Amazon's international footprint, ensuring seamless localized product discovery and undeniable delivery experiences for international sellers and customers alike.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• End-to-End Test Ownership: Define, execute, and document high-quality test plans and boundary test cases across multiple product components and localized features.
• Automation Engineering: Build, maintain, and debug test automation scripts for UI and API components using tools like Selenium and SoapUI to reduce manual testing overhead.
• Defect Triage & Root Cause Analysis: Perform initial fault triage and deep-dive technical root-cause analyses on product anomalies, logging detailed metrics for software development engineering teams.
• Impact & Change Analysis: Dissect technical test change requests, evaluate how modifications expand or restrict test scopes, and provide actionable recommendations to guard product behavior boundaries.
• Core Testing Methodology Application: Apply structured STLC frameworks using core techniques such as equivalence class partitioning, boundary value testing, and state transition monitoring.
• Team Training & Onboarding: Document clear operational testing scripts and train incoming team members on localized testing tools and team procedures.

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

• Professional Experience Track: Minimum of 2 years of proven quality assurance engineering experience across live production systems.
• Core Technical Toolkit: Demonstrated hands-on track record in both manual validation and test automation (UI and API layers), alongside basic knowledge of a scripting language for automated check-points.
• Preferred Capabilities: Practical exposure to Mobile testing infrastructure and advanced experience designing complex test conditions or massive test data sets.
• Core Soft Skills: Strong customer advocacy mindset, detailed technical writing traits, precise analytical reasoning, and exceptional cross-team collaboration properties.
