Job Description

Accenture is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Record to Report Ops Associate to join our Finance Operations vertical in Pune. This position focuses on the execution of corporate record-to-report (R2R) frameworks, financial analysis of statement line items, cash application workflows, and general ledger reconciliation to sustain absolute financial transparency for global clients.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

  • Financial Data Processing & Analysis: Collate, process, and clean cross-functional ledger data to analyze corporate financial statements, using specific ratios to evaluate overall business health indicators.
  • Cash Application & Accounts Receivable: Manage daily accounts receivable (AR) entries, executing payment posting, receipt booking, and systematic invoice matching against customer profiles.
  • Discrepancy Investigation & Exception Handling: Investigate and resolve transaction variances including short payments, overpayments, missing remittance info, unapplied cash, and unidentified incoming receipts.
  • Bank Statement Reconciliation: Audit financial ledgers against bank statements to track depreciation, fixed asset metrics, amortization data, monthly accruals, and transaction trails.
  • SOX Compliance & Reporting Standards: Enforce strict alignment with global financial reporting standards, internal treasury rules, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) guidelines to prevent documentation vulnerabilities.
  • Team Collaboration & Shifts: Act as an individual contributor within a predetermined, focused project scope, solving routine ledger problems via precedent under direct supervisor instructions and rotational shift parameters.

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

  • Educational Background: Holds a valid BCom (Bachelor of Commerce) degree with a firm grasp of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Professional Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in financial analysis, back-office ledger routing, accounts receivable support, or corporate cash applications.
  • Technical Toolkit: Hands-on experience posting and validating financial transactions inside major enterprise platforms such as SAP or Oracle ERP, combined with functional proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Core Soft Skills: High attention to documentation details, strong reasoning capabilities, adaptability to shifting business metrics, and excellent team-oriented communication skills.
