Risk Analytics - User Lending

Meesho is hiring for a Risk Analytics role in their User Lending division, based in Bangalore. This position is critical for managing credit risk in BNPL and Personal Loans, ensuring sustainable growth for Meesho's financial services.

The team is focused on building financial inclusion by providing credit to users who may not have traditional credit history. They use alternative data sources like Meesho platform activity, bureau data, and SMS information to assess risk effectively. With a large user base, risk management is key to scaling the business responsibly.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning the risk for segments of the portfolio while maintaining healthy growth rates.
• Analyzing credit policies using Meesho platform data, bureau data, SMS data, and other alternate data sources.
• Creating policies, scorecards, and models such as Application Score, B-Score, and Collection Scores for BNPL and Personal Loans.
• Designing experiments to test cohort behavior, experimental policies, and new opportunities for growth.
• Identifying pockets of risk within the portfolio that don't align with goals, and establishing leading indicators and early warning systems.
• Automating reporting and tracking of the portfolio at multiple levels, including operations performance and key performance indicators.
• Refining credit policies based on data and creating new policies for unexplored segments, including day-1 policies for Personal Loans as the product scales.
• Configuring and testing rules in the real-time Business Rule Engine (BRE), and working with the Bureau Feature Store to define new underwriting features.
