RME Coordinator – Reliability Maintenance Engineering

Amazon is hiring an RME Coordinator in Telangana. This role is part of the Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team and involves supporting facility engineering, controls, maintenance, and administrative activities across the site.

The RME Coordinator will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, supporting conveyor and automation equipment, coordinating with vendors, maintaining facility systems, and ensuring safe and reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting for facility and automation systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
• Work with industrial electrical systems including 480V three-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems.
• Troubleshoot field-level I/O systems, network components, motor starters, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), DC drives, and other electrical components.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance as per the PPM schedule.
• Attend corrective maintenance, service, and repair requests and provide timely resolution.
• Support sortation systems and automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS).
• Coordinate with vendors for systems covered under warranty or AMC.
• Monitor energy consumption and support DG maintenance activities.
• Maintain and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring.
• Work with control components such as photo eyes, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, and encoders.
• Conduct regular checks of fire alarms and fire extinguishers.
• Support minor facility refurbishment, electrical, civil, plumbing, and equipment maintenance activities.
• Maintain and service carts, trolleys, pumps, rolling shutters, and other operational equipment.
• Prepare daily reports covering ticket closures, open cases, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Maintain tools inventory and ensure completion of scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Support soft services including pest control, housekeeping, scrap and garbage disposal.
• Coordinate agency staff and support overall shift operations.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and support production in a safe and customer-focused manner.

Required Skills:

• Electrical, mechanical, electronics, instrumentation, or controls maintenance knowledge.
• Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with conveyor systems and automation equipment.
• Knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, sensors, relays, and control systems.
• Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare maintenance reports and perform basic root cause analysis.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
• Strong focus on workplace safety and maintenance procedures.

Eligibility:

• Experience or qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation, or Controls.
• 1+ years of experience in conveyor, automation, or control systems maintenance is preferred.
