SDE I FTC (Software Development Engineer I – Fixed Term Contract)

Amazon is hiring Programmer Analyst I (FTC) for its Transportation Technology team in Hyderabad. As a Programmer Analyst I, you will gather transportation and shipping requirements, integrate new carrier services into Amazon's logistics platform, automate manual processes, troubleshoot production issues, and develop shipping documents such as labels, manifests, and invoices. Your work will directly improve customer delivery experiences and support Amazon's rapidly expanding transportation infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain transportation software applications.
• Collaborate with business, operations, and technology teams to gather carrier integration requirements.
• Develop and maintain shipping labels, carrier manifests, invoices, and transportation documents.
• Integrate new shipping carriers and transportation methods into Amazon's logistics network.
• Automate manual configuration and operational processes to improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis for system incidents.
• Maintain high software quality by following coding standards and best development practices.
• Work on software enhancements, bug fixes, and feature implementations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for transportation systems.
• Collaborate with software development teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Prioritize multiple development tasks while meeting project deadlines.
• Support operational excellence by continuously improving system reliability and performance.

Required Qualifications

• B.Tech in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of software development or technical support experience.
• Strong programming knowledge in Java.
• Experience with Python and Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Good knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Strong communication and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of relational database management systems.
• Experience with distributed computing technologies.
