Job Description
Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is looking for an experienced, strategically minded Senior Program Manager to lead our Defect Elimination Automation program within the Retail Business Services (RBS) Cost to Serve (CtS) division. Serving across hubs in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai, this high-visibility non-tech program leadership role centers on governing the AI-powered automation engine responsible for 80% of the organization's defect identification pipeline, directly scaling global supply chain per-unit economics and Free Cash Flow.
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Tech Partnership & Product Structuring: Serve as the primary business counterpart to the Mogwai engineering team; author and prioritize comprehensive business requirements, converting operational feedback into actionable technical product inputs to shape the AI platform roadmap.
- Working Backward Planning & Delivery: Own the milestone roadmap execution for the automated defect engine to ensure alignment with a massive $6B target; identify tracking risks early and construct credible "path-to-green" narratives for executive leadership.
- BA Team Oversight & Feedback Governance: Direct a dedicated team of Business Analysts (BAs) auditing automated tool outputs, ensuring the cross-timezone feedback loop systematically translates raw operational expertise into iterative machine learning model improvements.
- Quality Assurance & Trade-off Ownership: Enforce an unyielding quality bar across platform data outputs, making critical architecture trade-off decisions that balance delivery speed, model accuracy, and downstream retail store adoption metrics.
- Executive Stakeholder Communication: Deliver strategic goal-level data reviews regarding the VP-level $7.5B defect identification target, communicating highly complex machine learning progress in accessible business terms to senior and VP-level leaders.
- Mechanism Design & Process Integration: Build and optimize global operating mechanisms (stand-ups, syncs, escalation paths) to harmonize technical development goals with retail, operations, concessions, and finance domains.
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Professional Experience: 5 or more years of robust program or project management track record, combining a minimum of 5 years managing complex stakeholder structures across technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.
- Educational Background: Holds a valid Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree or MBA in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a highly quantitative field is strongly preferred.
- Program Competency Benchmarks: Documented capacity owning end-to-end program strategies, managing large scale delivery milestones, and navigating ambiguous instructions inside fast-moving, high-visibility corporate structures. Over 2 years leading large, multi-tier programs is highly valued.
- Core Soft Skills: Masterful verbal and business writing capabilities, exceptional attention to detail, analytical conflict resolution, and unmatched cross-functional virtual team synchronization.
