Job Description

Druva is the resilience foundation for the AI enterprise, providing secure and recoverable cloud‑native SaaS that protects data, cyber, identity and AI workloads across cloud, SaaS, on‑premises, endpoint and edge environments. The Resilience Cloud uses Dru MetaGraph to deliver air‑gapped, immutable protection and helps customers understand risk, respond faster, recover cleanly and govern data with confidence.

The Druva Product Platform team builds the shared core SaaS foundation used by all Druva products. We develop multi‑tenant services, APIs, control‑plane capabilities for tenant lifecycle, IAM/RBAC, distributed job scheduling, usage metering and observability.

As a Senior Software Engineer (QA / SDET) you will be the technical lead for quality engineering across distributed multi‑tenant microservices, high‑throughput APIs and asynchronous event streams. You will design test strategies, build scalable test automation frameworks in Python or Go, create functional, scale and chaos test suites, and work with developers from day one to embed quality early (Shift‑Left). You will also integrate automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.

Key Skills (Must‑Haves)

  • 5–8+ years of progressive experience in software quality engineering / SDET, focused on backend distributed systems and multi‑tenant SaaS.
  • Strong coding skills in Python or Go, with solid data structures, OOP concepts and test automation design patterns.
  • Hands‑on experience building test automation frameworks from scratch using PyTest, Testify, RestAssured, Playwright or Selenium.
  • Advanced expertise in RESTful API and gRPC testing, including contract validation, schema backward compatibility and mock services.
  • Practical experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, EKS) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong SQL skills for data validation, state verification and synthetic test data generation.
  • Proven ability to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) with sub‑15‑minute loops and zero flaky tests.

Desirable Skills (Nice‑to‑Have)

  • Experience with Chaos Engineering tools such as Chaos Mesh, AWS FIS or LitmusChaos to validate fault tolerance.
