Senior Staff Software Engineer in Test

Druva seeks a Senior Staff Software Engineer in Test to strengthen its Agile development team. In this role you will go beyond routine testing by deconstructing complex features, designing robust automation frameworks, and safeguarding the resilience of Druva's cloud‑based backup solutions. You will partner closely with developers to execute white‑box and black‑box testing, ensuring quality from concept through deployment. The position demands a deep technical grasp of modern cloud ecosystems and a passion for building reliable, scalable test infrastructure that supports rapid delivery cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment to interpret functional specs and design requirements.
• Create independent, comprehensive test plans aligned with development milestones and feature releases.
• Extend and leverage existing automation frameworks to cover new functionalities and improve test coverage.
• Own the full test execution lifecycle for user stories, from setup to reporting.
• Mix automated, manual, white‑box, and black‑box testing to validate quality.
• Build, maintain, and document testbed environments and infrastructure.
• Report, track, and update defects and test cases using tools like Jira and XRay.
• Ensure quality benchmarks are met across the development pipeline with continuous collaboration.

Required Skills:

• Strong command of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Deep knowledge of threading, multiprocessing, socket programming, and networking protocols.
• Understanding of cloud architecture and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python or Golang and SQL databases.
• Experience with RESTful API testing and bug/test management tools (Jira, XRay).
• Familiarity with Agile testing methodologies, quality metrics, and Git/SVN version control.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging abilities.
