Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is seeking a highly skilled, system-oriented Software Dev Engineer II (SDE II) to join our Planning Intelligence (PI) engineering organization in Hyderabad . Operating as the technical brain of Amazon Customer Service, this group builds the core distributed infrastructure, predictive modeling paths, and scenario simulation engines that transform traditional operations into an automated, AI-native capacity planning network scaling globally .
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- End-to-End System Development: Architect, implement, test, and support low-latency distributed web services and predictive processing loops tailored to manage real-time forecasting datasets .
- Autonomous Planning Solutions: Code, iterate, and deploy structural software solutions capable of performing automated network what-if simulations to balance complex resource constraints .
- Architectural Strategy Execution: Drive major features and structural code refactoring blocks, aligning software builds cleanly with the team’s long-term technical roadmap .
- Full Software Lifecycle Ownership: Participate entirely in all sprints of the agile lifecycle—encompassing capacity scoping, engineering reviews, CI/CD automated test generation, and post-launch maintenance logs .
- Operational Excellence Governance: Review active deployment code and provide qualitative feedback loops to senior engineers, while systematically executing root-cause fixes to reduce system debt .
- Cross-Functional V-Team Interlock: Partner closely with Applied Scientists, Product Managers, and operational business leaders to convert abstract analytical specifications into highly performant software products .
- Technical Peer Mentorship: Upskill junior developers across the group, guiding clean design pattern composition and drafting comprehensive systems documentation frameworks .
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Professional Experience Track: Minimum of 3 years of robust, non-internship professional software engineering experience writing clean, maintainable backend code .
- Systems Architecture Mastery: 2 or more years of verified track record mapping object-oriented design patterns, managing data concurrency, or scaling distributed systems to ensure reliability boundaries .
- Core Technical Toolkit: Demonstrated proficiency programming with at least one modern general-purpose engineering language (such as Java, C++, Python, or C#) backed by git source control literacy .
- Core Soft Skills: Outstanding analytical troubleshooting properties when tackling unscripted system bottlenecks, precise technical documentation habits, and excellent collaborative dialog skills .
