Software Development Engineer, Fintech, TFAW

Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is seeking a highly skilled and system-oriented Software Development Engineer to join our expanding Finance Technology (TFAW) division in Hyderabad. In this role, you will build big data architectures and machine learning systems that scrutinize billions of dollars in daily transactions, deploying advanced techniques like Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to identify fraud, internal/external theft, abuse, and waste at a massive scale.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Full-Lifecycle Software Development: Participate in all phases of the software construction process, translating intricate finance business rules into scalable, extensible backend cloud components.
• System Design & Architecture: Apply robust object-oriented programming methodologies and proven software design patterns to enhance platform reliability, throughput, and system scalability.
• Big Data & ML Pipelines: Architect and deploy distributed data infrastructure capable of processing and cleaning terabytes of transactional datasets in high-availability environments.
• AI-Driven Fraud Countermeasures: Collaborate with machine learning scientists to integrate Generative AI capabilities and risk analytics into live transaction routing engines, intercepting anomalous activities.
• Engineering Quality Governance: Enforce strict coding standards across the code repository by undertaking detailed peer code reviews, optimizing build processes, and writing thorough unit/integration tests.
• Customer & Stakeholder Interaction: Partner directly with cross-functional internal finance teams and business managers to gather functional specifications, present technical proofs of concept, and collect production telemetry feedback loops.

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of non-internship professional software engineering experience, combined with at least 2 years architecting high-performance cloud networks or distributed distributed services.
• Educational Background: Holds a valid Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline.
• Core Technical Toolkit: Advanced engineering command over at least one modern general-purpose programming language (such as Java, C++, or Python), version control structures (Git), and automated CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Core Soft Skills: Exceptional logical reasoning, strong analytical problem-solving attributes under high system load environments, powerful technical documentation habits, and a collaborative team mindset.
