Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is seeking a highly skilled, system-oriented Software Development Engineer II to join the Digital Pricing and Competitive Intelligence (D-PRICIQ) team under our Digital Acceleration group in Chennai . In this role, you will be at the absolute forefront of machine learning applications, architecting and scaling the next generation of real-time pricing systems that compute millions of prices daily across Amazon's global digital product line .
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Next-Generation Pricing Architecture: Design, build, and optimize low-latency distributed systems at a massive scale to support real-time pricing decisions .
- AI & GenAI Integration: Embed advanced AI models—including Large Language Models (LLMs), generative capabilities, and custom deep neural networks—directly into production-grade transactional pipelines .
- AWS Infrastructure Management: Leverage highly scalable AWS cloud infrastructure to manage big data streams and secure system throughput boundaries .
- Model Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot system runtime performance bottlenecks, applying advanced acceleration techniques to optimize AI model efficiency .
- Engineering Quality Governance: Participate in detailed code reviews, implement unified source control policies, and build robust software to minimize post-launch technical debt .
- Cross-Functional Innovation: Collaborate alongside senior technical anchors, machine learning researchers, and business leaders to translate pricing strategies into high-utility software products .
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Professional Experience Track: Minimum of 3 years of non-internship professional software engineering experience shipping clean production code .
- Systems Architecture Mastery: 2 or more years of verified track record mapping design patterns, managing data concurrency, or scaling distributed systems to ensure reliability boundaries .
- Core Technical Toolkit: Practical engineering command over at least one modern general-purpose software language (such as Java, C++, Python, or C#) .
- Preferred Capabilities: Direct technical exposure to cloud technologies (AWS), foundational large language models (LLMs), or advanced AI model tuning methodologies .
- Core Soft Skills: Outstanding analytical troubleshooting, exceptional communication attributes, and a strong drive for constant individual career and technical growth .
