Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is seeking a vision-driven, technical Software Development Engineer II, SP-Support-Operations to serve as a founding engineer for our advanced analytics group in Bengaluru, Karnataka . Operating at the forefront of automated commerce technologies, this core backend engineering tier owns the technical architecture and scaling choices required to transform a complex ecosystem of over 180 legacy tools into a unified, next-generation AI-powered support platform handling millions of global sellers .
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- GenAI Platform Engineering: Architect, build, and scale resilient cloud microservices integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and specialized machine learning systems into live production .
- Distributed System Evolution: Map out robust data patterns, select fault-tolerant system frameworks, and configure cloud scaling thresholds to consolidate legacy tools seamlessly .
- Full-SDLC Process Governance: Enforce absolute engineering excellence through comprehensive integration testing, automated continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and code quality audits .
- Cross-Functional Product Interlock: Partner closely with regional business leads, product management divisions, and technical stakeholders to translate abstract specifications into structured software designs .
- Engineering Bench Mentorship: Act as an elite technical coach for junior developers on the team, leading internal code review sessions and driving best-practice compliance across the software lifecycle .
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Professional Software Tenure: Minimum of 5 years of verified, non-internship professional software development experience across production platforms .
- System Design Competency: 3 or more years of proven industry history mapping software architectural design patterns, building distributed services, and configuring system reliability parameters .
- Polyglot Programming Skills: Functional mastery writing clean, structured code utilizing at least one modern software programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, or C#) .
- Preferred Value-Adds: Holds a valid Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent quantitative discipline, paired with 3+ years spent overseeing build automation, source control tracking, and live site operations .
