Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is seeking a highly analytical, technically accomplished Software Development Engineer, Prime Video Sports to join our elite core technology division in Bengaluru, Karnataka . Operating at the global center of live sports streaming architectures (handling marquee events like NFL, NBA, and Premier League matches), this backend engineering tier owns the technical design patterns, data pipelines, and orchestration rules required to deliver ultra-low latency, error-free streaming to hundreds of millions of concurrent global viewers .
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- High-Scale Stream Engineering: Architect, implement, and deploy low-latency distributed microservices capable of scaling to manage massive traffic spikes generated by global sporting events .
- Predictive Analytics & AI Operations: Leverage machine learning algorithms and advanced metrics processors to engineer autonomous system monitoring, automated defect analysis, and self-healing cloud solutions .
- Technical Platform Leadership: Establish best engineering practices across experiences and services squads, ensuring backend systems are robustly engineered for 24/7/365 light-speed availability .
- Full-Lifecycle SDLC Ownership: Drive extreme code quality across the complete pipeline, enforcing rigorous unit testing frameworks, detailed code reviews, source control standards, and automated deployment architectures .
- Cross-Functional Tech Interlock: Partner closely with wider software development teams inside Prime Video and Amazon to translate ambiguous product scopes into high-performance system configurations .
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Professional Software Tenure: Minimum of 3 years of verified, non-internship professional software development experience across enterprise-scale platforms .
- System Design & Architecture: 2 or more years of proven industry history mapping complex software design patterns, system scaling configurations, and fault-tolerant structures .
