Ring (An Amazon Company) is seeking a highly skilled, innovation-driven Software Development Engineer, Sidewalk Cloud to join our expanding core services team in Mumbai or Bengaluru . Operating at the heart of Amazon Sidewalk—a secure, nationwide community network already active on over 80 million devices—this engineering role owns the low-latency services, scalable messaging infrastructure, and technical architecture choices required to process millions of critical IoT data payloads daily .
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Core Service Scalability: Architect, implement, and maintain highly scalable backend components handling automated network authentication, secure encryption, message routing, and device lifecycle flows .
- AI-Driven Operational Automation: Design and embed generative AI solutions directly into production loops, crafting automated debugging tools, self-healing code test pipelines, and automated document setups .
- Autonomous Device Triage: Build intelligence engines and analytics scripts capable of executing automated behavior logs, pattern checking, and proactive recommendations for remote device issue resolution .
- Intelligent Telemetry Monitoring: Partner alongside machine learning scientists to build real-time anomaly detection frameworks, maintaining high consumer trust by stopping security exceptions early .
- Polyglot Microservices Evolution: Code and refine serverless distributed applications using an optimal technical mix across multiple languages including Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, and Python .
- Cross-Organizational Technical Interlock: Coordinate closely with global tech groups across Ring, Echo, Alexa, and centralized AWS IoT platform squads to launch unified cross-site features .
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Professional Software Tenure: Minimum of 3 years of verified, non-internship professional software development experience across enterprise-grade platforms .
- System Design & Architecture: 2 or more years of explicit industrial track record applying design patterns, scaling boundaries, and reliability frameworks to asynchronous systems .
