Microsoft is seeking an expert-level, entrepreneurial Solution Area Specialist - Digital Natives to join our high-growth Cloud and AI Sales division in Bangalore. Operating like a startup within an enterprise, this role focuses on winning commercial and technical decisions among high-potential startups and digital native organizations, enabling them to construct next-generation platform solutions on Microsoft Azure.
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Digital Native Customer Consulting: Lead complex technical and commercial discovery workshops with startup evaluators, mapping customer visions into highly scalable business cases for cloud investment.
- Cloud-Native Solution Architecture: Propose, evaluate, and deliver high-performance cloud architectures encompassing infrastructure migration, application modernization, and advanced data layers using open-source systems.
- Advanced AI & MLOps Deployment: Pioneer early-stage technical solutioning around Agentic AI frameworks, prompt designing, and specialized machine learning pipelines utilizing TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Pipeline Management & Deal Execution: Orchestrate the sales funnel from early qualification to final closing parameters, collaborating with compliance, licensing, and virtual account squads to build value-based contracts.
- Proof of Concept (PoC) & Consumption Engineering: Design and program technical proofs of concept to prove system viability, systematically addressing post-sale deployment blockers to drive rapid Azure cloud consumption.
- Partner Ecosystem Scaling: Expand market footprint by collaborating with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Microsoft's commercial partner networks to deliver comprehensive co-selling strategies.
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Professional Experience: 10 or more years of robust technology-related sales, technical pre-sales, or account management experience with a documented history of navigating fast-paced, ambiguous startup landscapes.
- Core Technical Toolkit: Comprehensive mastery of Microsoft Azure Cloud services, hybrid infrastructure topologies, microservices, container settings, and application modernization frameworks.
- Core Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, complex problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills; ability to collaborate with virtual squads and adapt quickly within a hybrid workplace model (3 days/week in-office).
