Microsoft is seeking a visionary, results-oriented Solution Area Specialists Manager - AI Workforce (AIWF) to join our enterprise cloud division as a Director in Bangalore. This senior people management and commercial leadership position focuses on guiding elite squads of solution sellers, driving secure Generative AI & Copilot platform adoption, and managing pipeline forecasts across Strategic and Upper Major accounts.
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Lead and mentor high-performing enterprise specialist teams in strategic discussions with C-level stakeholders, driving long-term alignment around Microsoft’s secure AI transformation roadmap.
- Territory Strategy & Intelligence: Formulate comprehensive territory growth blueprints using predictive analytics and automated whitespace analysis to target market gaps and discover high-potential cloud opportunities.
- Pipeline & Forecast Management: Govern the regional AIWF sales funnel, conducting strict opportunity milestones and deployment visibility reviews with internal executive leadership to optimize forecasting accuracy.
- AI Optimization & Consumption Engineering: Direct sales teams to actively track post-sale telemetry indicators, consumption scripts, and deployment timelines to mitigate renewal risks and accelerate continuous cloud usage.
- Cross-Functional V-Team Orchestration: Coordinate across complex organizational matrices—including Account Teams (ATU), Customer Success Units (CSU), Global Partner Solutions, and technical engineers—to secure seamless deal closure handoffs.
- People Management & Culture: Drive employee performance, growth, and retention profiles by establishing clear individual outcomes and coaching virtual teams across organizational boundaries inside a strict office hybrid environment (4 days/week in-office).
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 12 years of proven technology-related sales, strategic account management, or cloud consulting exposure, coupled with 3+ years of dedicated people management experience.
- Core Technical Stack Foundations: In-depth structural understanding of enterprise security topologies, cloud-native application architectures, multi-tenant database models, and integrated software compliance metrics.
- Preferred Credentials: Holding a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or an advanced engineering degree paired with a documented track record of executing multi-million dollar Copilot deployments is highly preferred.
- Core Soft Skills: Exceptional executive presence, powerful storytelling and value articulation competencies, analytical conflict resolution, and unmatched cross-functional team navigation.
