Microsoft is seeking an elite, commercially agile Sr. Account Executive - Digital Native to join our dedicated account management division in Hyderabad. In this senior individual contributor role, you will apply a disruptive challenger mindset to manage our highest-value high-growth startup, unicorn, and digital native accounts, leveraging the full potential of Microsoft Cloud systems to unlock scalable transformations and capture measurable consumption and adoption targets.
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Digital Native Portfolio Strategy: Formulate and drive hyper-customized, multi-account blueprints for high-velocity tech disruptors, establishing long-term executive credibility and moving deals smoothly past client buying centers.
- Challenger Sales Leadership: Lead complex technology consulting and infrastructure alignment cycles; initiate deep commercial conversations with tech founders and engineering leads to expand corporate cloud footprint.
- Virtual Team Orchestration: Coordinate and lead cross-functional virtual sales teams (V-Teams), technical architects, and global product specialists to deliver high-impact proofs of concept (PoCs) and secure line-of-business contract wins.
- Consumption & Adoption Governance: Own account-level revenue quotas, software tracking parameters, and system implementation pipelines; actively attach channel partners to maximize post-sales value realization and secure healthy client renewals.
- Customer Advocate & Case Building: Serve as the primary operational link between customers and internal Microsoft engineering units, logging process dependencies while capturing successful line-of-business testimonials for corporate referencing.
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of robust experience selling to or consulting with enterprise accounts, with a verifiable depth navigating fast-paced digital native and startup ecosystems; alternatively, 5+ years driving large-scale digital transformations from within a major enterprise.
- Core Technology Domain Mastery: Comprehensive operational understanding of cloud-native systems, software-as-a-service (SaaS) scalability paradigms, multi-tenant databases, and infrastructure automation protocols.
- Vertical Knowledge Focus: Solid, proven structural understanding of at least one core industry vertical (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Media, Telco, Healthcare) and its specific digital monetization paths.
- Core Soft Skills: Outstanding capacity to navigate ambiguous corporate situations, superior customer-first storytelling and pitch-delivery capabilities, and the flexibility to operate within a 4 days/week in-office framework alongside a 25–50% territory travel rhythm.
