Job Description

Microsoft is seeking a highly accomplished, strategic Sr Digital Solution Area Specialist - Azure to join our elite Digital Sales and Solutions division in Mumbai. This high-impact commercial role centers on driving customer digital transformation, optimizing cloud estate modernizations, and delivering intelligent application and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions leveraging the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

  • Sales Execution & Cloud Consumption: Lead deep, industry-aligned cloud modernization conversations with enterprise stakeholders, qualifying opportunities through the Microsoft Sales Process (MSP) to drive immediate software contract conversions.
  • Pipeline Sizing & Strategy: Partner alongside internal technical sales professionals and Global Black Belts (GBBs) to initiate data discovery workshops, design deployment roadmaps at the point of sale, and mitigate infrastructure usage roadblocks.
  • Strategic Partner Orchestration: Collaborate with the One Commercial Partner (OCP) framework to build joint proposals, establish co-selling structures, identify capability gaps, and expand solution availability across the assigned territory.
  • Competitive Analysis & Territory Management: Analyze complex multi-vendor competitor topologies to position Microsoft cloud frameworks effectively, drive accurate sales forecasting, and conduct whitespace analyses to isolate untapped revenue channels.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Map and cultivate high-value relationships with executive decision-makers and senior technical architects via proactive direct engagement, workshops, and digital social selling frameworks.

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of enterprise solution selling or cloud consulting experience backed by a formal degree, or 6+ years of general technology account management exposure.
  • Core Technology Domain Mastery: Comprehensive operational understanding of Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure, multi-tenant software deployment, database analytics platforms, and SaaS/PaaS consumption rules.
  • Preferred Credentials: A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or an equivalent technical postgraduate degree coupled with 5+ years of dedicated solution sales history is highly advantageous.
  • Core Soft Skills: Advanced logical thinking parameters, cross-functional team leadership attributes, elite executive presentation skills, and the capacity to operate dynamically within an office hybrid structure (3 days/week in-office).
