Sr. PM, Shipping COGS, RBS: Cost to Serve

Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is seeking a highly analytical and cross-functionally adept Sr. PM, Shipping COGS, RBS: Cost to Serve to join our World Wide Defect Elimination squad. Operating within a prominent VP organisation, this senior leadership role focuses on optimizing cost-per-shipped-unit economics, eliminating global supply chain defects, and generating significant Free Cash Flow (FCF) for Amazon's e-commerce platform.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Cost to Serve (CtS) Reduction: Define, govern, and independently drive strategic lifecycle programs aimed at eliminating shipping anomalies and supply chain waste across multiple lines of business.
• Upstream Defect Elimination (UDE): Map complex inventory checkpoints to execute deep root-cause analyses (RCA), permanently resolving structural fulfillment defects rather than merely treating operational symptoms.
• Advanced Telemetry & SQL Analytics: Dive deep into terabyte-scale datasets to uncover processing inefficiencies, using SQL and volume driver frameworks to establish a highly data-oriented culture.
• Financial Modeling & P&L Alignment: Partner directly with corporate finance teams to validate supply chain cost models, manage P&L targets, forecast savings, and strategically balance short-term cost drops against long-term strategic value.
• Cross-Functional V-Team Orchestration: Form and manage matrixed project teams spanning tech, non-tech, operations, and external vendor entities, unblocking pipelines to maximize deployment speeds.
• Executive Stakeholder Reporting: Document clear problem statements and present data-backed recommendations directly to senior leaders up to three tiers above level, successfully navigating highly ambiguous scenarios.

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of robust program or project management track record handling large-scale, cross-functional engineering or supply chain initiatives.
• Educational Background: Holds a valid Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, or related technical disciplines. An MBA or Master's degree from a recognized institution is preferred.
• Process Improvement Toolkit: Practical competency in data mining, project scheduling, and metric tracking. Over 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience using Lean Six Sigma Black Belt methodologies is highly advantageous.
• Core Soft Skills: Masterful verbal and business writing capabilities, top-tier analytical reasoning, active mentorship attributes, and the agility to adapt to fast-paced global settings.
