Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is seeking a vision-driven, highly accomplished Sr. Software Development Manager, ASFT, Shiptech to orchestrate our multi-team engineering ecosystem in Hyderabad, Telangana . Positioned as a core technology anchor within the Amazon Shipping Foundation Technology (ASFT) division, this senior executive tier owns multi-year architecture roadmaps and scales low-latency, high-availability shipment distributed systems that process millions of daily logistics events globally .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

  • Multi-Team Engineering Command: Direct, mentor, and evaluate front-line engineering managers and software architects across multiple complex software divisions .
  • Long-Term Strategy Mapping: Define, author, and align high-utility monthly, quarterly, and multi-year platform engineering roadmaps linked directly to business benefits .
  • GenAI & Logistics Innovation: Drive modern engineering breakthroughs by embedding machine learning models and GenAI-native solutions into foundational supply chain layers .
  • Cross-Functional Vision Interlock: Partner closely with core Product and Program Management teams to map enterprise product definitions and handle critical design trade-offs .
  • Agile Delivery Governance: Leverage strict Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks to govern full-lifecycle application delivery timelines and live site commitments .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

  • Core Technical Track: Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional history designing, planning, shipping, and running high-traffic consumer or enterprise software applications .
  • People Management Depth: 5 or more years of explicit engineering organizational management tenure, directly supervising software engineering leaders .
  • Educational Foundation: Holds a valid Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an aligned quantitative technical discipline .
