Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is seeking a vision-driven, highly technical Sr. Technical Program Manager to lead our Transportation Financial Systems (TFS) tech infrastructure from our Hyderabad or Bengaluru hubs . Operating as a Single-Threaded Owner (STO) inside a massive ~200-person platform engineering organization, this role owns cross-organizational software program schedules from system design to high-volume production release .
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Single-Threaded Program Ownership: Spearhead large-scale cross-functional software initiatives across multi-tier engineering squads to deliver automated, low-latency financial systems .
- System Requirement Disambiguation: Translate complex business demands and multi-million dollar logistics transactions into structured software designs, balancing technical constraints with customer requirements .
- End-to-End Release Management: Oversee lifecycle milestones spanning structural architectural reviews, dependencies mapping, software rollouts, and global launch executions .
- Risk & Critical Path Mitigation: Proactively isolate operational bottlenecks, handle architectural trade-offs, and implement high-judgment escalation paths across competing tech priorities .
- Fintech Automation Engineering: Architect automated ledger reconciliation models that eliminate human interventions across documentation, expense auditing, and cost allocations .
- Executive KPI instrumentation: Define, check, and optimize core KPI and SLA frameworks used to monitor multi-million dollar businesses, reporting system performance metrics to senior leadership .
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Technical Program Leadership: Minimum of 5 years of verified, non-internship professional history operating as a Technical Program Manager directly supervising software systems .
- Engineering Collaboration Depth: 7 or more years of proven background collaborating alongside software engineering leads and technical product managers .
- Core Software Development: 3+ years of foundational hands-on software development experience building microservices or distributed tech structures .
- Strategic PM Methodologies: Demonstrated proficiency managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, quality bounds, risk profiles, and critical path tracking templates .
- Core Soft Skills: Outstanding verbal and written business storytelling properties, comfortable navigating extreme ambiguity, exceptional system design intuition, and a strong customer obsession .
