Transportation Specialist, Amazon Freight, IN [TOC Specialist]

Amazon India (ASSPL) is hiring a highly analytical, technical Transportation Specialist, Amazon Freight, IN to join our centralized Transportation Operation Center (TOC) team in Hyderabad . Operating as a critical terminal specialist inside the logistics command hub, this role owns real-time supply chain visibility, tactical exception triage across inbound/outbound lanes, and data analytics to protect 24/7 business continuity .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Supply Chain Execution Control: Maintain live tactical monitoring of freight movements connecting suppliers to fulfillment centers and warehouses to customer carrier nodes .
• Real-Time Exception Triage: Investigate and resolve transit exceptions, delay patterns, and carrier blockages using internal tools to preserve on-time delivery metrics .
• Multi-Database Analytics: Extract and aggregate metrics from diverse relational databases using Microsoft Excel, Access, and SQL to compile custom reports .
• Business Requirements Scoping: Isolate workflow bottlenecks and draft functional software requirements to help tech teams build scalable platform automation systems .
• Systemic Problem Escalation: Troubleshoot system data variances, systematically escalating logistics barriers to target internal squads while tracking resolution timelines .
• WBR Narrative Presentation: Examine operational metric anomalies, authoring clean weekly summaries to present data-driven finding logs in executive evaluation forums .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

• Educational Foundation: Holds a valid Bachelor’s degree in a highly quantitative or technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics .
• Advanced Spreadsheet Competency: Demonstrated professional mastery of Microsoft Excel data configurations to model trends and evaluate business results .
• Preferred Value-Adds: Hands-on operational experience drafting relational database scripts (SQL query composition) or working inside fast-paced logistics setups is highly preferred .
