Transportation Specialist - Transportation, JP Outbound [Japanese Bilingual NOC Specialist]

Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is seeking a bilingual, data-driven Transportation Specialist - Transportation, JP Outbound to join our centralized Network Operations Center (NOC) team in Hyderabad (with multi-state virtual options) . Operating as a critical terminal specialist inside the logistics command hub, this role owns real-time supply chain exception triage, multi-tier stakeholder communication across outbound networks, and operations data analysis to safeguard business continuity for Amazon Japan .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Supply Chain Execution Control: Maintain live tactical monitoring of freight movements, coordinating pickup and delivery logistics from warehouses to carrier hubs .
• Real-Time Exception Triage: Intervene rapidly when logistics disruptions strike, resolving carrier or facility delays to protect customer delivery expectations .
• Bilingual Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate smooth information flows fluently in the Japanese language across external carriers/suppliers and internal Amazon retail or support teams .
• Multi-Database Analytics: Pull, parse, and aggregate performance metrics from diverse management systems using Advanced Microsoft Excel, Access, and SQL .
• Systemic Problem Escalation: Troubleshoot system data variances, systematically escalating logistics barriers to target internal squads while tracking resolution timelines .
• WBR Narrative Presentation: Examine operational metric anomalies, authoring clean weekly summaries to present data-driven finding logs in executive evaluation forums .
• Business Requirements Scoping: Isolate workflow bottlenecks and draft functional software requirements to help tech teams build scalable platform automation systems .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

• Linguistic Competency Validation: High professional proficiency and business communication track in the Japanese language, backed by a mandatory JLPT N2 or N1 Certification .
• Educational Foundation: Holds a valid Bachelor’s degree from an accredited or recognized university platform .
• Advanced Spreadsheet Mastery: Demonstrated professional mastery of Advanced Microsoft Excel configurations to map data trends and run analytics models .
• Ecosystem Shift Agility: Full willingness to support real-time operations within a demanding 24/7 operating floor environment (including rotational night shifts) .
