Workday Finance Consultant

Infosys Limited is seeking an expert-level Workday Finance Consultant to join our elite Enterprise Package Application Services unit in Chennai. This senior consulting role centers on driving large-scale digital transformations, defining robust corporate financial workflows, and providing high-value technical architectures for cloud-based Workday Financials deployments.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Engagement & Solution Architecture: Lead client consulting lifecycles from primary problem definition through core system diagnosis to customized cloud solution design, configuration, and production environment deployment.
• Workday Financials Implementation: Oversee end-to-end setups, functional configuration rollouts, systemic upgrades, and multi-tenant environment maintenance across core modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
• Core Workflow Engineering: Direct transactional lifecycle workflows covering the full Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processing loops, configuring custom tax matrix rules and expense pipelines.
• Production Support & System Optimization: Lead high-rigor Level 2 and Level 3 incident resolution streams; troubleshoot complex data errors, configure environment security matrix modifications, and optimize Workday Reporting and Analytics profiles.
• Proposal Review & Risk Sizing: Critically review internal consulting proposals, establish project effort estimation frameworks, assess structural implementation risks, and evaluate project financials across diverse commercial pricing models.
• Change Management & Team Leadership: Formulate enterprise change management approaches using structured multi-channel communication blueprints; establish a clear technical vision for the team and mentor peer engineers through continuous performance reviews.

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

• Professional Experience: 9 to 15 years of robust technology consulting experience, with a clear and verifiable history of leading Workday Financials implementations, corporate rollouts, or enterprise application migrations.
• Core Technical Toolkit: Advanced technical command over cloud financial management configurations, software version control systems, technical specification documentation, and system acceptance testing protocols.
• Multi-Platform Exposure: Practical familiarity or data migration experience interfacing Workday platforms with alternative legacy ERP accounting modules (such as Oracle GL) is highly advantageous.
• Core Soft Skills: Masterful logical thinking, sharp problem-solving capabilities under ambiguity, outstanding consultative communication, and top-tier team motivation qualities.
