Amazon India (ASSPL) is seeking a results-driven, highly operational Area Manager (L4) to orchestrate inbound warehouse processing teams within our world-class Fulfillment Centers across major national nodes, including Haryana, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai . This foundational site leadership tier owns direct day-to-day personnel performance loops, ensuring targeted metrics are consistently hit across our key operational pillars: safety, quality, customer experience, and processing productivity .
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Frontline Shift Command: Take complete ownership of daily shift execution within your assigned inbound logistics department, supervising sorting and stowing velocity vectors .
- Forecast & Capacity Engineering: Review intra-day work forecasts and system parameters to determine precise hourly productivity requirements needed to hit building milestones .
- Cross-Department Labor Balancing: Collaborate actively with neighboring shift managers to share, reallocate, and balance headcount matrices to stabilize floor throughput and eliminate processing waste .
- Lean Process Refinement: Uncover systemic warehouse layout bottlenecks, deploying standard continuous improvement protocols and Lean manufacturing techniques to enhance workflow efficiency .
- Safety & Compliance Enforcements: Champion all facility-level occupational safety initiatives and hazard mitigation actions, ensuring complete adherence to workplace compliance frameworks .
- Personnel Performance Appraisals: Run direct performance monitoring cycles for your frontline associate cohorts, executing targeted feedback, cross-training paths, and developmental goal logs .
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Educational Background: Holds a valid Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent baseline practical qualification from an accredited college .
- Leadership Track Record: Proven professional history demonstrating direct personnel management capabilities, shift coordination, and execution of workplace performance standards .
- Preferred Capabilities: 2 or more years of hands-on experience utilizing performance metrics analytics dashboards, data sorting methods, or structural Lean/Six Sigma principles within operations setups .
- Core Soft Skills: Outstanding verbal and written business communication traits to connect across levels, high analytical problem-solving agility, and a strong customer-obsessed mindset .
