Job Description

Amazon India (ASSPL) is seeking a highly analytical, strategically minded Operations Manager, IN- SSD/QC-hubs to serve as our dedicated City Manager for the India Ultra Fast Fresh network in New Delhi, Delhi . Operating at the forefront of Amazon’s rapid grocery and sub-same-day (SSD) delivery infrastructure, this high-potential operational leadership position owns the multi-site execution plans, cost footprints, and people-management tracks required to drive hyper-local logistics performance across regional quick-commerce hubs .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

  • City Network Hub Governance: Take complete end-to-end accountability for driving operational metrics across assigned sub-same-day and quick-commerce facilities, scaling performance across Quality, Speed, and Cost dimensions .
  • Multi-Site Leader Management: Set, clarify, and enforce high performance requirements for Fulfillment Center (FC) Site Leaders, measuring operational outputs and holding site teams accountable to business plans .
  • Staffing & Capacity Engineering: Design and execute complex multi-tier staffing layouts, operational scheduling, and labor capacity plans to absorb dynamic demand fluctuations in real time .
  • Lean Process Transformation: Direct site-level and network-wide continuous improvement sprints, deploying Lean or Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste and compress delivery times .
  • Launch & Setup Deployments: Support intra-city expansion projects, traveling to regional nodes to launch greenfield facilities, align operations, and enforce baseline standards .
  • Talent Pipeline Optimization: Lead, mentor, and promote frontline supervisors and technical site operators, constructing strong internal retention channels .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

  • Performance & Personnel Management: Minimum of 3 years of verified, non-internship professional history explicitly spent managing personnel tracks, direct headcount, and metrics-driven operational performance .
  • Educational Foundation: Holds a valid Bachelor’s degree from an accredited or recognized institution, or possesses 2+ years of verified internal Amazon full-time blue-badge experience .
  • Operational Agility Boundaries: Complete flexibility to navigate a 24/7 hyper-local grocery distribution model, including working weekends, overnight shifts, and traveling locally between sites .
  • Preferred Value-Adds: 1 or more years of hands-on experience running performance metric deep dives, automated tracking arrays, process change initiatives, or structured Lean/Six Sigma frameworks .
  • Core Soft Skills: Outstanding verbal and written consultative storytelling properties, clear business backbone to enforce controllership rules, high-level logical troubleshooting, and a natural customer obsession .
