Job Description

Amazon India (ASSPL) is hiring an analytical, execution-oriented Transportation Specialist, Relay Ops to join our central command and control network in a virtual capacity out of New Delhi, Delhi . Operating within the Relay Operations (RO) core infrastructure, this role serves as the central operational bridge managing traffic, disruptions, and asset tracking across First Mile, Mid Mile, and Last Mile distribution hubs to protect business continuity and logistics efficiency .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

  • Central Command Exception Triage: Monitor, isolate, and resolve real-time disruptions, delays, cancellations, and network deviations across fulfillment centers, sort centers, and delivery stations .
  • Shift Operations Governance: Take complete ownership of tactical shift outcomes, providing clear leadership, direction, and technical guidance to a team of L2 operations representatives .
  • Multi-System Data Mining: Pull, clean, and aggregate performance datasets from numerous databases utilizing Microsoft Excel, Access, or SQL to support ad-hoc reporting needs .
  • Systematic Defect Escalation: Analyze metrics and variance logs to trace historical failure patterns, routing structural problems to technical owners for permanent resolution .
  • Weekly Executive Storytelling: Formulate and present highly professional performance summaries and detailed narrative reports outlining weekly operational findings to steering groups .
  • Omnichannel Stakeholder Interlock: Act as the primary face of Amazon, communicating cleanly across third-party carriers, transporters, vendors, planning teams, and ground crews under strict deadlines .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

  • Quantitative Educational Baseline: Holds a valid Bachelor’s degree in a specialized quantitative or technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Statistics .
  • Spreadsheet Software Competency: Documented hands-on experience utilizing Microsoft Excel to analyze parameters, map data formulas, and process logistics trend lines .
