Key Responsibilities
1. Data Collection & Analysis
Collect and analyse data from production lines, inventory management systems, sales reports, and other relevant sources to identify trends and patterns.
2. Reporting & Dashboards
Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) like production lead times, cost per unit, defect rates, and sales performance.
3. Production Monitoring
Monitor production metrics to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
4. Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline production processes and reduce waste by analysing workflow, material usage, and labor efficiency. Develop and implement process improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing practices, to optimize production capacity and cost.
5. Collaboration & Implementation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and monitor their impact.
6. Cost Analysis
Analyse production costs, including material costs, labour costs, and overhead expenses to identify areas for cost reduction. Develop cost-saving strategies and track their implementation. Conduct cost-benefit analysis for potential new production methods or technologies.
7. Market & Sales Analysis
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer demand to inform product development and production planning. Analyse sales data to identify best-selling products and identify potential market gaps. Provide insights to the design team to ensure product alignment with market needs.
8. Technology Adoption
Support the implementation of new production technologies or systems, including data migration and training. Manage project timelines and deliverables related to production optimization initiatives.
