Business Analyst – ROC Analytics

Amazon is hiring a Business Analyst – ROC Analytics to support business operations through data-driven reporting, dashboards, metrics and actionable business intelligence. The role involves working with cross-functional teams and providing insights that help leaders make decisions affecting customer and selling partner experience.

The Business Analyst will create, support and continuously improve reports, dashboards and analytical tools used to monitor business performance. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, the ability to work with large datasets and the ability to convert complex data into clear and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, support and continuously improve reports and metrics for business operations.
• Convert data into digestible business intelligence and actionable information using tools such as Tableau and Amazon QuickSight.
• Develop and deliver key metrics, reports and performance indicators used to assess business performance.
• Analyze large datasets to answer specific business questions using Excel, SQL and other data manipulation languages.
• Work directly with business teams to use metrics and analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and dashboard solutions used by business leaders for decision-making.
• Work with SQL databases including Oracle and Redshift.
• Use advanced Excel VBA, macros, charts and pivot tables for data analysis and reporting.
• Work with Tableau, QuickSight and internal report scheduling tools.

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field.
• 2+ years of experience with Excel or Tableau, including data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to generate business insights.
• Experience with SQL or ETL.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, multitask and prioritize work effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Tableau.
• Experience working with very large datasets.
