Amazon India (ASSPL) is seeking a highly strategic, results-driven Category Manager, Amazon Pharmacy to join our Buying, Planning, & Instock Management division in Bengaluru, Karnataka . Operating with full end-to-end P&L ownership, this retail business leader tier manages corporate vendors, crafts high-impact promotional constructs, and sets the long-term selection growth trajectory to enhance customer experience across our digital healthcare marketplace .
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- End-to-End P&L Architecture Ownership: Balance top-line revenue growth, margins, and procurement cost metrics to deliver sustainable financial performance .
- Assortment Expansion & Vendor Management: Partner with top-tier healthcare brands, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and marketplace sellers to source relevant inventory and scale product availability .
- Digital Merchandising & Promos: Design targeted promotional campaigns and optimize online catalog presentations to increase detail page click-through speeds .
- Macro Environment Diagnostics: Evaluate competitive market trends, customer telemetry data, and macroeconomic indicators to shape the category's functional software roadmap .
- Cross-Functional Program Governance: Lead complex e-commerce projects, collaborating with product, technology, compliance, and fulfillment center operations teams under narrow deadlines .
Required Qualifications & Technical Stack
- Domain Business Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional history explicitly spent handling retail procurement, operations, product management, or business consulting .
- Spreadsheet & Data Manipulation: 3 or more years of hands-on experience utilizing Microsoft Excel to manipulate massive datasets, isolate variance logs, and pull metrics .
- Commercial Negotiation Track: Proven ability to close high-value vendor commercial contracts, manage pricing matrices, and influence external brand matrices .
- Educational Foundation: Holds a valid Bachelor’s degree across a quantitative or administrative business discipline, or relevant military experience .
- Preferred Value-Adds: 3 to 6 years working as an Account Manager or Vendor Manager, paired with experience in inventory forecasting or digital customer experience (CX) planning .
