Job Description

Amazon India (ASSPL) is seeking a highly execution-oriented and analytical Operation Lead, AMAZON NOW to support our GSF NOW Transportation unit across New Delhi and Gurugram . This shift-based role acts as the primary operational point of contact for line haul logistics execution, partnering with hubs, spokes, and external carriers to safeguard network speed, eliminate inefficiencies, and resolve transit bottlenecks .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

Line Haul Escalation Ownership: Act as the first operational point of contact to investigate, resolve, and prevent the recurrence of transport network delays and scheduling friction .
Carrier Performance & Onboarding: Coordinate daily vendor tracking loops, managing contract compliance metrics to drive significant reductions in variable costs (VC) .
Capacity Planning & Utilization: Undertake rigorous Truck Utilization (TU) analyses and vehicle rightsizing maneuvers to minimize ad-hoc shipping expenditures .
Loss Mitigation & Yard Safety: Partner with Security & Loss Prevention (SLP) to systematically lower in-transit cargo damages, utilizing Yard Management Systems (YMS) to check check-in cases .
Facility Optimization & Site Management: Interact with active warehouse platforms to reduce dock unloading dwell times and balance continuous fleet routing plans .
Compliance & Risk Governance: Enforce 100% adherence to driver safety cultures, background verification (BGV) requirements, and automated GPS registration trackers .
Zonal Performance Metrics Reviews: Compile granular data records for layout reviews and Weekly Business Reviews (WBR) to stabilize accruals tracking .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

Educational Background: Holds a valid Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution .
Linguistic Competency: Complete professional fluency to speak, write, and read cleanly within the English language .
Technical Systems Toolkit: High operational command over Microsoft Office products and applications, with practical database data entry habits .
