Job Description

Amazon India (ASSPL) is seeking an agile, data-driven Operations Manager / Senior Operations Manager to orchestrate cross-mile supply chain activities across major hubs in Delhi and Gurugram . This high-impact role spans end-to-end logictical workflows—from the initial ingestion gates inside major fulfillment facilities down through sorting networks and last-mile execution pipelines—to sustain high delivery speeds under complex peak volume periods .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

  • End-to-End Cross-Mile Execution: Take complete end-to-end accountability for operational workflows matching fulfillment centers, sortation infrastructure, and regional last-mile grids .
  • Peak Workforce Sizing & Design: Partner alongside Human Resources and Training units to execute flexible high-volume labor plans, staffing metrics, and training tracks to absorb volatile delivery spikes .
  • Operational Cadence Ownership: Structure, guide, and report key milestones during high-priority Daily Standups, Weekly Business Reviews (WBR), and Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) .
  • Continuous Lean Optimization: Intercept and analyze warehouse floor activity records to uncover hidden operational bottlenecks, deploying localized Kaizen loops and Continuous Improvement metrics to strip away waste .
  • Multi-Stakeholder Cost Engineering: Coordinate directly with centralized Finance, Project, and Facility teams to monitor regional budgets and finalize network infrastructure updates .
  • Performance Management & Coaching: Administer formal personnel appraisals, manage down-line leadership development metrics, and provide direct career mentorship to active Area Managers .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

  • Logistical Background Portfolio: Minimum of 4 years of non-internship professional history leading high-capacity warehouse operations, complex multi-node supply chains, or fast-moving logistics hubs .
  • Personnel Direction Depth: 3 or more years of proven background managing direct labor groups, balancing shifts, and governing team output compliance targets .
  • Educational Background: Holds a valid Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent practical track record (alternatively, 2+ years operating as a full-time, blue-badge internal Amazonian) .
  • Preferred Qualifications: Over 1 year of hands-on experience mapping performance analytics indicators, process tracking adjustments, or standard Lean/Six Sigma practices .
  • Core Soft Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication properties to present abstract data maps clearly, sharp logical troubleshooting traits, and full comfort navigating extreme ambiguity .
