Amazon India (ASSPL) is seeking a highly strategic, numbers-driven Senior Finance Analyst, IN Marketplace Finance to act as a dedicated business copilot at our headquarters in Bengaluru, Karnataka . Operating with full financial ownership over an independent retail vertical, this core corporate finance role drives top-line decision support, architects predictive forecasting models, and safeguards ledger transparency across a high-growth e-commerce ecosystem .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

  • Vertical P&L Ownership: Own complete financial metrics administration, long-range forecasting, and reporting layers for an assigned marketplace line of business .
  • Strategic Leadership Advising: Structure high-fidelity financial modeling sheets and ad-hoc analytics profiles to deliver clear growth recommendations to senior directors .
  • Controllership & Process Governance: Establish tight operational accounting safeguards, audit variance loops, and drive standardization to enhance commercial visibility .
  • Free Cash Flow Optimization: Interlock with category leaders to maximize cash performance, directly guiding vendor terms improvements including margins, credit cycles, and operational spend containment .
  • WBR/MBR Analytics cadence: Lead data-driven weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance appraisals, generating clear tracking logs and actionable items to improve core business health .
  • Financial Book-Close Oversight: Partner directly alongside internal core corporate accounting modules to streamline the execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

  • Professional Credentials: Holds a valid Chartered Accountant (CA) license or a post-graduate MBA in Finance from an accredited institution .
  • Domain Analytical History: Minimum of 3 years of verified, non-internship professional history operating within corporate business finance, tax operations, or analytical modeling domains .
  • Operational Accounting Grounding: 4 or more years of hands-on exposure supervising Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and metrics-driven KPI frameworks .
  • Automation & Tool Simplification: 4+ years of documented track record identifying, engineering, and launching automated scripts to standardize business tools .
  • Preferred Tech Stack Additions: Foundational mastery query optimization using big-data tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, or Cognos), data presentation via Tableau, and enterprise ERP systems like Oracle or SAP .
