Amazon Dev Center India (ADCI) is seeking a highly analytical, technical Software Development Engineer II, Advertising Billing to join our global Advertising Customer Experience team in Bengaluru, Karnataka . Operating within the high-stakes financial core of a hyper-growth advertising business, this backend position owns the architectural scaling, data modeling, and low-latency execution rules of the Iron Mountain platform—processing millions of high-value billing, invoicing, and promotion transactions daily .

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Distributed Architecture Scaling: Design, build, and optimize backend applications to seamlessly handle a projected 10X spike in transaction volume and traffic across global markets .
• Millisecond SLA Enforcement: Engineer highly parallelized microservices to guarantee real-time front-end execution speeds under narrow millisecond SLAs .
• High Availability Engineering: Configure fault-tolerant application deployments over AWS cloud infrastructure to prevent downtime in core accounting and payment systems .
• Full-Lifecycle SDLC Ownership: Lead technical features from feature scoping down to live production releases, mitigating design risks early via code reviews and automated testing .
• Resource Optimization Governance: Enforce strict computing habits to limit memory/CPU impact, implement tactical caching schemes, and maintain clean database interactions .
• Cross-Functional Innovation: Collaborate alongside product managers, designers, and downstream advertising engine squads across Bangalore, Seattle, and New York .

Required Qualifications & Technical Stack

• Professional Software Tenure: Minimum of 2 years of verified, non-internship professional software development experience in complex systems .
• System Design & Architecture: Proven industrial track record mapping design patterns, system scaling, and fault-tolerant architecture boundaries .
• Data Modeling Depth: 1 or more years of explicit relational database or NoSQL data modeling experience .
• Core Technical Toolkit: Production coding fluency in modern Object-Oriented languages (such as Java, TypeScript, or C++) combined with SQL querying and Python/Bash scripting .
• Preferred Value-Adds: Valid Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, with deep engineering background navigating financial ledger systems or ad-tech architectures .
• Core Soft Skills: Outstanding verbal and written technical storytelling habits, full comfort resolving architectural ambiguity, and a relentless focus on customer trust .
